Ten-man Forest Green Rovers kept up the pressure on National League leaders Cheltenham with victory at Lincoln City who have not won in nine games.

Keanu Marsh-Brown's superb long-range volley 13 minutes from time at Sincil Bank proved to be the winner.

The goal came just moments after Rovers had been reduced to 10 men following Aarran Racine's red card for a bad challenge on Patrick Brough.

Luke Waterfall had a header saved as Lincoln pushed for an equaliser.

Forest Green remain second but are now just two points behind Cheltenham while Lincoln stay in ninth, six points off the play-off places.

Lincoln City manager Chris Moyses told BBC Radio Lincolnshire:

"I'm very disappointed. I think we played well again, we had chances again but it's getting hard to bear. We switch off for a moment and get punished.

"The buck stops firmly with me and if it's time to go I'll go, it's all down to the chairman but I've always said that if I didn't think I was doing right I would walk away.

"We're having a run of bad luck and I don't think we're getting anything from referees but I'm not going to make excuses, the results speak for themselves and ten games without a win is an alarming run of form.

"All I can say is that this group is giving all they can for the football club. I don't think we're being beaten by a lack of nous or by tactics, it's genuine mistakes."

Forest Green assistant manager Jamie Day told BBC Gloucestershire:

"The boys showed great character today. It was a great goal from Keanu and we had to dig in towards the end.

"There were bodies flying round in front of the ball. Lincoln play a certain way but even with 10 men I thought we were going to win it.

"We've said numerous times Keanu has got quality, it's being consistent and showing the other sides of the game like work rate as well. It was a good team performance, from one to 11 and the boys that came on, they really put in a shift and I'm really proud of them."
