Huddersfield Town 1-1 Fulham

Ross McCormack
Ross McCormack has scored five times in his last four league appearances against Huddersfield

Fulham picked up their first point under new boss Slavisa Jokanovic as they drew at Huddersfield.

The visitors led within 91 seconds when Terriers defender Jonathan Hogg's misjudged pass found Ross McCormack who slotted home.

Jamie Paterson could have equalised but his curling effort hit the post.

Fulham's Alexander Kacaniklic then had a goal ruled out for offside before Mark Hudson levelled when he turned home Emyr Huws' free-kick.

At 1-0 up, the visitors had a penalty appeal turned down after a Hudson challenge on McCormack, and after the break Huddersfield had the chance to go ahead but keeper Andy Lonergan made a fine double save from Nahki Wells and Joe Lolley.

The Terriers stay 16th and Fulham are 19th, four points above the relegation zone.

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic:

"We scored very fast and if we had scored one more we would have won.

"We need a stronger mentality and a killer instinct for winning the game. We also need more training and there is work to do. We need to be more competitive."

On transfer rumours surrounding Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele: "I have every intention of keeping these players. This is all speculation and I want them to stay.

Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner:

"This was a very different game to Tuesday when we beat Charlton 5-0. We have to be open and fresh to new ideas.

"After the game I accept the result and I am not unhappy with a point. With the way we started it was not easy.

"At half-time we showed the players some clips about where they went wrong and second half it was much better.
