FA Cup: Exeter boss Paul Tisdale reflects on 'great night' at Liverpool
Manager Paul Tisdale says Exeter City's FA Cup third-round replay at Liverpool was a "great night" for the club.
The League Two side lost 3-0 at Anfield on Wednesday, having twice led the Reds at St James Park earlier this month.
"I'm sure we'll look back on it and think this has been a great FA Cup run," Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon.
"We possibly missed our chance being 2-1 up with 15 minutes to go in that first game, but we earned ourselves this and this has been a great night."
Despite 73 places separating the two sides in the football pyramid, the Exeter boss says he is disappointed that his team did not perform better in the first part of the game.
"I'm not entirely surprised we've lost, I have to be realistic," said Tisdale. "But I had very positive thoughts in my mind that we could maybe do something.
"I was trying to juggle the players to give ourselves some intent in the second half of the game. I'm disappointed with our first 20 minutes, we were engulfed by not so much the tactics, more we got ourselves stuck in our half and we looked slow to come to pace with the game.
"We had some bright moments in the second half - at least we'll go back thinking we gave it a go in the second half.
"There were some real bright standout performances, Jordan Moore-Taylor especially looked like he belonged in this type of environment, he showed a lot of intent and purpose."
