Guernsey FC manager Tony Vance says February is "a crucial month" as they look to cling onto an Isthmian League Division One South play-off place.
Four of their five fixtures are against teams within six points of them in the table.
"We particularly have to win our home games and try to get as much out of away games," Vance told BBC Guernsey.
"We've got a lot of six-pointers and it's such an important month - we're starting to get into the business end."
Vance added: "Add the fact that the teams we're playing are all within the chasing pack - it's a crucial month."
Guernsey, who are in fourth place, host bottom-half side Walton Casuals at Footes Lane on Saturday, with striker Ross Allen fit and Ryan-Zico Black back in the squad after injury.
"It's a strange comment but I'm wary of ourselves and that's it," added Vance. "We're our biggest problem to a certain degree but we can also be our biggest solution - there are so many teams waiting to take our place."
