Former Manchester United centre-back Rio Ferdinand greeted Nemanja Vidic's retirement by describing the Serb as his favourite defender to play alongside. Brazil forward Pato, who has joined Chelsea on loan from Corinthians, could not hide his excitement at the prospect of playing for the Blues.
