Gateshead winger Adam Wrightson has signed a new 18-month contract with the National League club.

The 19-year-old, who has made six appearances in the league this season, is likely to miss the remainder of 2015-16 with a shoulder injury.

"I'm delighted to sign and get it out of the way," he told the club's website.external-link "Now I can focus on recovering and getting myself fit."

Gateshead are ninth in the table, three points off the play-off places.
