AFC Wimbledon 4-1 Luton Town

Striker Lyle Taylor scored twice as AFC Wimbledon thrashed Luton Town 4-1 for a fifth League Two win in six games.

The Dons, now three points off the play-off places, went ahead when Ryan Sweeney headed a corner across goal and the ball went in off Scott Cuthbert.

Taylor turned in Andy Barcham's cross for 2-0 and Sean Rigg fired in a third from 18 yards after the break.

George Francomb's corner provided Taylor's second, before Jack Marriott smashed an edge-of-the-box consolation.

Luton are 14th in the table, 10 points off the top seven.

AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley told BBC Radio London:

"If we can keep the players happy, not doing anything weird and wonderful, keep the energy high and the good feel about the place, then we'll see where it takes us.

"If it's successful, great. If it's not, it's not going to be for the want of trying.

"We got two good goals in quick succession at a good time. Goals change games - at that point we were in control."

Luton manager Nathan Jones told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"When you defend like that you get punished at any level and we got punished today. I didn't really see that coming after what we done, but that's what happened. I'm very, very disappointed.

"It was a unfortunate goal, the first one. We weren't dominate enough, but the others are avoidable.

"We got what we deserved today because we didn't deserve anything."
