Connacht centre Dave McSharry will not play again this season after suffering a series of concussions.
The Irish club said the 26-year-old had been examined by a specialist and had been advised to rest from the game.
McSharry, who had a contract with Connacht next season, will train in a non-contact capacity with the squad.
He only returned to action against Newcastle in December after nine months out with a knee injury.
But he sustained a concussion after just two minutes of the Challenge Cup game and has not played since.
Dubliner McSharry joined Connacht in 2011 and has played in 14 games this season, bringing his total appearances to 58.
