AFC Wimbledon have signed Burton Albion centre-back Darius Charles on loan until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old has not featured for the Brewers this season, having moved to the Pirelli Stadium last summer following five years at Stevenage.
"We've been looking for a long time for a centre-back, one with experience, one with knowledge," Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley told the club website.
Charles could make his Dons debut against former club York on Saturday.
"He's not played first-team football for a year which makes it difficult for us to throw him in," said Burton manager Nigel Clough.
"He needs a few games under his belt first."
Wimbledon are currently ninth in the League Two table, three points outside the play-off places.
