The only HYS....and it's football! Says it all.....
@81 Lai , "ronaldo past it , no longer elite " deary me , top scorer in la liga , 42 goals in 39 appearances this season , scores winner in camp nou to consign Barca to 1st defeat in 39 games . Not just you but there are others on here who really don't know what they are talking about when it comes to the really great players . I'm sure there are some who'd have Vardy over Ronaldo , laughable
Lets give it a couple of seasons but from his start at RM i can see zidane becoming the next worldwide known managerial great. Be interesting to see if he gets kept on after the season he should really. And if he does what he'll do in summer he should get rid of ronaldo so he can actually build a team.
Well, not the highest quality Clasico, but it does keep a pretence of a title race going.Barca will still be champions.
@90 Eric's hot under the Collar.Don't really get what you are trying to say by bringing up Arsenal and Watford, but nevertheless, it seems like I've struck a nerve. Try to stay calm and if you need a new team to support while your current one is playing rubbish, may I suggest New Zealand at rugby union - almost guaranteed glory for you.
@93 The weakness in Ron is the insistence on having a make-up lady at half time...he needs way longer than 20 minutes to have nails and eyebrows done...its a big problem for heem he is ssinking.
Barca play like a team and Ronaldo only plays with himself
Two fakes, two tax dodgers and cheats, meaningless fixture.
Two very boring sides
@82 onthecouch. Really? So the only big game of the day was Arsenal v Watford? Pathetic
It will be an intriguing game. The pressure is on Barca more so as they are the title leaders while Real Madrid should now play with greater expression. They have a greater chance of winning the Champions League. There is no debate that the Barca front three are more productive than the Real Madrid front three but both teams are fragile defensively if teams counter attack. Barca should win though.
How can anyone compare La Liga to the Prem for entertainment! Other than any fixture vs Villa the results have been totally unpredictable this season i.e. a proper competition. It must be so boring to be a Barca or Real supporter where only about 6 games out of 38 games are actually competitive. No wonder this fixture is so hyped. Uncertainty of the outcome is what makes any sport entertaining.
@6 [ Jernarta Meen ] -"About as interesting as Celtic v Rangers"---LOL! Say what you like about El Clasico, it does have the virtue that both of the teams playing actually still exist!Call me old-fashioned, but I do feel existence of both teams is a definite enhancement to any football match...
Hey, where's my weekly Valencia article? I was enjoying following their plight? What's their chances against plucky Las Palma's this afternoon?
The reference to Ronaldo seeing Bale and Benzema as threats rather than accomplices probably sums up the differences in the fortunes of the two clubs.
Real Madrid? These clowns have had thirteen managers in the last thirteen years. They are the Newcastle United of La Liga. When are they going to realise - oh wait, it's really our *club* that's crap?
I was wondering why so many people here in England are suddenly so interested in the top clubs in Spanish football. Then I realised that with Man U, Man C, Liverpool and Chelsea all having such poor seasons, there are plenty of glory hunters that need to find a potential winner to "support".
6. Posted by Jernarta Meenon1 Apr 2016 11:34About as interesting as Celtic v Rangers..........Rangers no longer exist. The spl, fifa, uefa can cry different all they want. Rangers devolved now we have newco Rangers. How Newco got to keep its Name and Trophies again exposes how corrupt football is. ps Ronaldo is past it. He's no longer elite.
