Rangers will head to the United States in pre-season as they prepare for their return to the Scottish Premiership.

Mark Warburton's squad will travel to Charleston, South Carolina for a training camp from 26 June to 8 July.

The Light Blues will play a friendly against United Soccer League side Charleston Battery at their 5,100-capacity MUSC Health Stadium on 6 July.

"We look forward to travelling to America and will enjoy 10 days of warm weather training," Warburton said.

"Auchenhowie [Rangers' training base at Murray Park] is a fantastic facility but taking the players and staff away for pre-season will be important as we get ready for Premiership football once again."

Rangers were due to play a closed-doors friendly against Tottenham on Wednesday, 11 May to help keep them match fit before the Scottish Cup final on 21 May against Hibernian.

The Glasgow giants failed to win any of their last four league games after clinching the Championship title and beating Celtic on penalties in their Scottish Cup semi-final.
