Worker dies in stadium construction accident in Cameroon

A worker has been killed and two more injured in Cameroon after a section of the Amadou Ahidjo Stadium collapsed during construction work.

Moudga Soure died in hospital. Njob Medi and Rene Pasletek Blaisse are in a stable condition.

The tragedy occurred during the building of a passage to the dressing room at the stadium in Yaounde.

Refurbishment works are being carried out before Cameroon hosts the Africa Women Cup of Nations in November.

All three workers involved in the accident are Cameroonians.
