Northern Ireland defender Ryan McGivern has been released by Port Vale after two years with the League One club.

He played in Northern Ireland's first two Euro 2016 qualifiers against Greece and Romania but is on the periphery of Michael O'Neill's squad.

The 26-year-old signed professional forms with Manchester City in 2008.

He had spells with Leicester City, Walsall, Crystal Palace, Morecambe, Bristol City and Hibernian before moving to Vale Park in 2014.
