Kilmarnock are in discussions with play-off goal-hero Miles Addison about extending his stay at Rugby Park.

The 27 year-old central defender, who had been without a club since leaving Peterborough in January, joined Killie on a short-term contract in March.

He featured in eight matches and scored in Sunday's 4-0 win over Falkirk in the second leg of the play-off final.

Having retained their top flight status, manager Lee Clark is busy with plans to reshape his squad.

Rory McKenzie is considering the offer of a new deal but fellow midfielder Craig Slater has rejected terms and announced his intention to leave.

Six out-of-contract players have been told they will not be renewed: goalkeeper Conor Brennan, defender Lee Ashcroft along with Julien Faubert, Alex Henshall, Chris Johnston and Aaron Splaine.

Former skipper Mark Connolly, who has been hampered by injury over the past year, is also leaving, while seven others have been placed on the transfer list.

They are Kallum Higginbotham, Dale Carrick, Kevin McHattie, Mark O'Hara, David Syme and Tope Obadeyi, with the latter having already taken to social media to say his goodbyes.

On-loan Lee Hodson has returned to his MK Dons, with Clark keen to bring back the Northern Ireland international if the situation arose.

Of the players who featured against Falkirk still under contract, only Jamie MacDonald, Josh Magennis, Greg Kiltie, Kris Boyd, Gary Dicker and Greg Taylor remain in the manager's plans.
