How is this thread still open? We have the answer long ago: Rashford should go. If they held a referendum he'd have won by a huge majority based on the comments on here. Sturridge, on the other hand, would appear to have lost his seat on the plane and rightly so.
Rashford is not that good. Next season will expose him. England never will be any good. Overpaid and up their own backsides. Come on Ireland.
Paul Grange shouldn't have been arrested. arresting someone for stating their views, despite their provocative nature, I feel is a bit much.
494. DavidMdon't take Milner or Henderson===Would agree, but both will go.Barclay, Ali, Dier, Drinkwater===Barclay in a bad patch, may not go. Drinkwater too average, lucky to be in the squad.Ali is good but a liability. As I've said, he has a short fuse. Look at how many yellows he had before his red.He will be targeted.I'd rather have Walcott as an impact sub.
He's not good enough to play for England, it's only because he plays for utd that he's got a cap. Anyone remember zaha, went to utd and was an international......transferred back to palace and........ You know the rest!Could you write some more topics about utd or any of their players please phil?!
Please, please, please don't take Milner or Henderson- they add nothing but sweat and my tears! Delph is out already so - very simple decision. Milner, Delph and Henderson. Maybe Rashford won't get a game but if he does he is liable to do something positive and exciting - when has Milner or Henderson ever done either? Plenty of Midfield cover left - Barclay, Ali, Dier, Drinkwater! Come On!
492. Bursaspor16Would you risk Sturridges brilliance knowing he may get injured even by getting dressed? I would.leave out a big name player if they aren't fit ===So, you'd leave a player out if he's not fit, but you'd take one who "may get injured even by getting dressed"BRILLIANT!
Would you risk Sturridges brilliance knowing he may get injured even by getting dressed? I would cos he offers something different to the others. I would also take Rashford cos that is a lesser risk than taking Sturridge. It's a big tournament and you can't afford to have unfit or off form players. Come on Roy,do what you are paid to do and leave out a big name player if they aren't fit or on form
Rashford should go but not Sturridge, he is too injury prone and is a risk. Wilshere is not fit enough for an international tournament and should not go either.489. ExpatDele Alli who has been a revelation===True, but he is also a liability with his short fuse, Look at how many yellows he had before his red.He will be targeted.
Definitely take him. Kane and Vardy have had a magnificent injury-free season (especially Vardy) but if one of them gets injured we need an impact player that can shine instantly, light up the stadium and connect with the stalwarts in the team like Rooney. Plus it seems Rooney and Rashford have got off to a flying start with very good rapport on and off the pitch.
@ 488 WakeWas with you until you said put Rooney in midfield...why would they? he is not a midfielder. who would you drop...Dele Alli who has been a revelation?Rashford should go, but as an impact sub off the bench.
He should go as he has proven his worth at United strpping up when the pressure was on. Performing in the Premier League, Europa League and scoring on his England debut. Why is this even a question? Drop Wilshire who has played 1 game this season, put Rooney in midfield and give Rashford a chance. He deserves it
@483. BlueIsTheColour "Leave Sturridge at home, he is too selfish and lazy"Just like everyone else you focus on his good points.
Just saw a headline, "Sturridge Returns To England Training". I thought about refreshing my screen, to be certain of what I'd read, but was afraid he'd get injured in the few seconds it took to refresh. HE'S HEALTHY! (for a trice, fingers crossed).
he might go.......on the other hand maybe not..........who knows, aaahh
Rashford could give you a spark off the bench, while Sturridge, even if he is fit, wouldn't be interested in coming on as a sub....his ego wouldn't permit it.Will be interesting to see where Roy shoehorns his captain...as it is obvious that little Wayne will be in the starting XI....wonder who will be sacrificed?
Leave Sturridge at home, he is too selfish and lazy
Frankly who cares. England are useless in finals and an early exit is inevitable. In fact they're rubbish to watch at the best of times. Hodgson is decrepit and stale. Even the promising young players wilt under his management. Come on Wales, Ireland and NI. At least there'll be someone there from these islands who is genuinely prepared to bleed for the shirt.
Sturridge should go! Did you see his mush when rashford scored, it must be a lfc thing, me me me, im sure he would rather england lose and him score than win and some up and coming youngster score, his hamstrings must have twanged in anguish
