Crewe Alexandra: Relegated League Two club hoping to add more experience
Relegated Crewe Alexandra are looking to add more experience as Steve Davis's side aim to bounce straight back following relegation to League Two.
Now he hopes to add two more well-travelled players in the next few days.
"We could do with some experience," Crewe director of football Dario Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke.
"Those are the players that Steve and our head of recruitment Neil Baker are targeting.
"We could do with another midfielder, the type who can steady the ship in there.
"I like the signing of Ryan Lowe," added Gradi, who was manager when Lowe, now 37, first came to Gresty Road a decade ago.
"I have a lot of time for him as a player and as a professional, and as a person.
"He will be great for the kids here but he cannot do it all on his own and he will need looking after as well."
The Alex to start the new season on the road
The Alex will start the 2016-17 season back in League Two with two tough away fixtures.
They then play two home matches against Portsmouth and Hartlepool United.
The nearest thing Crewe have to a derby game this season will be the 134-mile round trip to Accrington Stanley, who they are due to host on New Year's Eve, before the return game in East Lancashire on 8 April.
