Plymouth Argyle central defender Karleigh Osborne is getting close to full fitness, according to Pilgrims manager Derek Adams.

The 28-year-old moved to the club in the summer, but has yet to play after suffering a thigh injury in pre-season.

It came after he missed the second half of last season with a knee injury while on loan at AFC Wimbledon.

"Osborne has been playing a number of games in the reserves and is coming along well," Adams said.

"He's still a wee bit short game-wise, he's played three games, he's probably got another four or five to play before he can be considered to be in the squad."

He added to BBC Radio Devon: "But he's coming along well and he's had no recurrence of the injury."
