Derek Adams: Plymouth Argyle have 'winning mentality', says manager
Plymouth Argyle's "winning mentality" is the reason behind their excellent run of form in League Two, according to manager Derek Adams.
The Pilgrims set a club record with their seventh successive away win after coming from a goal down to beat Crewe 2-1 on Saturday.
Argyle are seven points clear at the top of the table.
"For us to come here, go a goal down and come back to win 2-1 shows the character of our players," Adams said.
"We've got a group of players that are very together, they've got that winning mentality. You don't come away from home and win seven games on the trot if you don't."
Argyle were five points clear at the top of League Two in November 2015, but ended up dropping out of the top three and losing the play-off final to AFC Wimbledon in May.
Since then, Adams has added 16 new players to his squad and they have not lost a league game for three months - a run of 14 unbeaten.
"We've got a group of players that are quite calm, we've got a mixture of youth and experience in the side and I think that's important," he told BBC Radio Devon.
"We've got continuity as well - we had to make a change at centre-half but we've had to make changes throughout the season and the players that have come in have done well."
