Burkina Faso will play two friendly matches as part of their preparation for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

The Stallions will face a local Morocco side on 4 January during their 12-day camp in the North African country.

They will complete their warm-up with a game against Mali, another Nations Cup-bound side, three days later.

Paulo Duarte's men will then travel to Gabon for the tournament which kicks off on 14 January.

Burkina Faso, who were runners-up in South Africa in 2013, have been drawn in Group A where they will face hosts Gabon, four-time champions Cameroon and debutants Guinea-Bissau.

The Burkinabe were eliminated at the group stage of the competition in Equatorial Guinea in 2015, falling a long way short of their run to the final in the previous edition.

Host nation in 1998, they will be making their tenth appearance in the last 12 tournaments when they take to the field in Gabon.

The 2017 Cup of Nations will last for three weeks, with the final played on 5 February.
