Rob Kiernan: Violent conduct charge against Rangers defender dismissed
Rangers defender Rob Kiernan will not serve a suspension after a Scottish FA disciplinary tribunal dismissed a violent conduct charge against him.
He had faced a two-match ban after allegedly striking Steven Anderson of St Johnstone in the 1-1 draw on 28 December.
The Ibrox club contested the charge and at a tribunal the outcome was listed as: "Not proved; claim dismissed."
Irishman Kiernan, 21, is now free to play against Motherwell on 21 January.
That Scottish Cup tie at home is Rangers' next domestic fixture, with the club currently on their winter break. Mark Warburton's side are second in the Premiership and resume their league campaign away to Well on 28 January.
