Guernsey FC manager Tony Vance has said he is "not a quitter", with the club one place outside the Isthmian League Division One South relegation places.
The Green Lions play three successive away matches in January, having not won away from home in 2016.
"I'm not that nervous about it [relegation]," said Vance.
"Of course I don't want to go down, but if we do it's because we deserve to, and our resources and, ultimately, abilities have not been good enough."
He added to BBC Radio Guernsey: "I've said before I was fearful of being relegated from the club's point of view because commercially it may be harder to get sponsorship because we're in a lesser league.
"However, it's a lot cheaper to be in that league because there are a lot less games."
