Dundee United midfielder Cammy Ballantyne has been called up to the Scotland Under-21 squad ahead of Tuesday's match against Estonia.

He replaces Zak Jules, the defender on loan at Motherwell from Reading who withdrew on Saturday.

Ballantyne becomes the 11th new face in Scot Gemmill's much-changed squad for the friendly at Paisley 2021 Stadium.

The 19-year-old has played 25 times this season on loan to League Two side Montrose, scoring once.

Ballantyne, who has previously been capped at under-17 level, has made two appearances for United, coming on as a substitute against Partick Thistle and Kilmarnock in the final two fixtures of last season.
