"I don't want to win the Europa League. It would be a big disappointment for me. I don't want my players to feel the Europa League is our competition."Who said this? You've guessed it - Jose Mourinho in July 2013 Come on ANDERLECHT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I very much doubt Leicester will ever be in European competition again unfortunately. Ranieri got them there once, but that was a miracle.
They might want it. I want to be a billionaire and play for Spurs. Same chances i reckon?
Hope that manky club get no where near Europe again. Just like the manky team that plays in blue in Scotland. Replica Rangers were involved in the biggest cheating scandal in British sport. Their fans were involved in the biggest rioting in British history when they smashed Manchester.
Fair play to Leicester, they have been one of the few English teams that haven't been an embarrassment in Europe in recent years. That said, it is still shocking that the best team England had to offer could only make it to the quarter finals where they managed to lose to an average Spanish team.
"Leicester players want more Champions League football" ...So does Shrek and the £89M donkey ... sadly they are all going to be disappointed
I don't get the LCFC "backstabbers" mantra?Didn't Man Utd players get Moyes and LVG sacked?Aren't those same players now going to get Borinho sacked? We are not privy to what goes on behind closed doors - why don't we just enjoy the story.
Are English fans being ripped off? 5 years without any CL winners or even finalists. I think 2 teams in 5 years made it to semis, awful! Pay the most and get little return in Europe. How much longer will we get 4 CL spots?
@183Labour would win the election if people didn't allow themselves to be brainwashed by the Tory media or the Blairite, Pinot quaffing literati; vote for the party that created the NHS and wants to protect it; the party that improved social housing, not the one that sold it all off; the party that knows Trident won't save us when Trump pushes the button.Labour creates and the Tories destroy.
And so my comment has only taken 22 minutes to be vindicated.
Lack of professionalism by the players has cost them respect as a club ... a great shame there will be no comeback on the players -- and that the real story will never be told.End of the fairy tale -- back to relegation worries next year!
Bitter lcfc haters need IQ testing. Absolutely clueless bunch.
@VulpineI agree with your comments. Like you and many others, I have also become bitter and jealous of lcfc's meteoric rise and since Ranieri's sacking; I've been able to make what I consider to be factual statements despite there being no tangible evidence and only pure speculation. Like you I actually know FA. Lcfc do have more chance of winning the prem than cl football..oh wait a minute..?
Well if they wanted that they should've performed all this season. More chance of Corbyn being PM on June 9th (and that's also fairly remote chance) than seeing Leicester in the CL again the next 10 -15 years certainly.
Why would Shaky be behind to Ranieri's sacking. The most likely outcome of Claudio leaving was a new manager coming in with his own staff, resulting in Shaky being out of a job.Makes no sense at all.
In the words of an O,jays song backstabbers Shakespeare and Leicester back where u belong
