Raphael Dwamena's move to Brighton off after striker fails medical
Brighton have pulled out of a deal to sign Raphael Dwamena from FC Zurich after the striker failed a medical.
The 21-year-old had agreed personal terms with Albion after they had a bid, reported to be around 15m euros (£13.8m), accepted by his Swiss club.
"The club would like to wish Raphael the very best for the future," said Brighton in a statement.
The newly promoted Seagulls have lost both of their Premier League games and are yet to score a goal this season.
On Sunday, Brighton broke their transfer record for the third time this summer by completing the signing of Colombia winger Jose Izquierdo from Club Brugge for £13.5m.
Chris Hughton's side have also signed midfielder Davy Propper from PSV Eindhoven for about £6m, goalkeeper Mathew Ryan for a reported £5m from Valencia and winger Soufyan Ahannach from Dutch second-tier side Almere City for an undisclosed fee.
