AFC Fylde 1-0 Wrexham

Danny Rowe's first-half goal sends AFC Fylde into the FA Cup first round proper as they saw off visitors Wrexham.

In the process the hosts reached that stage for the fourth time in five seasons.

Rowe took advantage of a defensive lapse by the visitors to slide the ball home.

Fylde then held out for the second period as Dean Keates' side went out in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round.

Wrexham manager Dean Keates told BBC Radio Wales: "We didn't want to go out of the FA Cup, but it's happened.

"This club wants to win football matches and we haven't done that, so we're disappointed about that.

"We've got a big game next week [at Dagenham & Redbridge in the National League], we'll have a good week training and there will be a reaction for next week."
