Ipswich Town ended a run of three straight Championship defeats as they came from behind to win at struggling Burton Albion.

The Brewers went ahead on 57 minutes when defender Ben Turner headed home Matthew Lund's corner.

But Ipswich took just nine minutes to level when Martyn Waghorn fired home a left-foot shot from the edge of the box after Burton failed to clear.

Substitute Bersant Celina then hit the winner with an 89th-minute free-kick.

Just five minutes after coming on at a blustery Pirelli Stadium, the Manchester City loan man stunningly curled home from 25 yards, with almost his first touch.

Before Turner's opener, the hosts could have been ahead but for Luke Murphy being denied by an outstanding save from Ipswich keeper Bartosz Bialkowski.

But Waghorn levelled with his seventh goal of the season - as many as Burton have managed in total in their 14 Championship games so far this season.

Burton remain 22nd in the table, a point behind Birmingham City, after their eighth defeat of the campaign, while Ipswich climb a place to 10th.

Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough:

"It feels very, very harsh to lose that game on the balance of play and the chances we created.

"We scored a goal and we haven't done that in five-and-a-half games, so that was a bonus, but we should have scored more than one.

"We had some great situations but, in the end, we didn't manage to make chances out of them .There is an element of things just not dropping for us at the moment.

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy:

"The fans all love him. He goes on and he scores the goal and he's the hero. Fabulous.

"It's not his type of game where you are winning headers, fighting and scrapping but, with 10 minutes to go, it's a good time to score and a wonderful finish.

"There were some other heroes out there that kept the score down. They enabled him to do that. And good luck to him."
