Match ends, Everton Ladies 0, Arsenal Women 2.
Managerless Arsenal Women scored a goal in each half to beat Everton Ladies for their first Women's Super League One win since the season's opening day.
In their first game since the departure of Pedro Martinez Losa, Arsenal went ahead through Vivianne Miedema's shot.
Everton had a goal disallowed before half time for a foul on visiting goalkeeper Sari van Veenendaal.
Arsenal, led by acting boss Ismael Garcia, added a second Beth Mead's volley deceived Lizzie Durack.
The result moved the London side back to fourth while Everton remain second-bottom, without a point this season.
Dutch keeper Van Veenendaal denied Everton's Claudia Walker several times before Miedema's opener, which went in off the bar.
Everton defender Georgia Brougham:
"In the first half we created so many chances and we went in at half time and said that we need to take these chances when we go back out.
"We came out for the second half and really started to play and push for that goal, but obviously it did not come.
"Lizzie has always been excellent for us, a mistake does not change that. Throughout every single game she has been excellent and she is a great goalkeeper.
"All of the players know how great she is and for 60 minutes she kept us in the game. Now everyone just needs to get around her and help her keep her head up."
Arsenal midfielder Jordan Nobbs:
"Everton came out positively at the start of the second half, but I still think that we were quite dominant on the ball.
"We had to be aware of their threat in the second half but it is good that we have come out of this game with a clean sheet and with a positive win.
"Defensively it was a huge performance. If we came away with a 2-1 win or something like that it just knocks that confidence, so for us to get a clean sheet it is a real positive."
