@245 AV IT O'Neill the genius who sold Cahill for 3 mill & bought Curtis Davies for 10.5, the genius who could have had Falcao for a song but went for Emile Heskey instead. Bruce the genius who has been there a year, wasted a fortune and still won't let the brilliant kids play unless he's forced to by injuries. Sunderland, you've been as badly served by crap managers & owners as us.
Pathetic football club.
Lee Clark momentum growing with fans.
Graham Rix seems to be a fans favorite......
The sacking on Monday = Lee Clark from BuryAnd the sacking yesterday = Simon Grayson from SunderlandTherefore the next Sunderland manager = Lee ClarkNo smoke without fire.
247. Posted by wolf359 on4 hours agoThe Manager transfer window will not work- How would you define the "manager"?. I'm sure the FA have no right to dictate to a club what their organisational structure should be. A club could nominate someone-else as the "manager" for this purpose and still sack the ACTUAL manager. Also this would give managers the green light not to try in their jobs.
230. Posted by He said what on6 hours ago"If Ryan Giggs is serious about a career in management this is the type of job he should be cutting his teeth with, rather than the entitled approach thinking he should be walking into a PL job."Complete non-sense, This is one of the biggest clubs outside the Premiership. They need someone with more experience.
Lol I am glad to see them in botherOnly karma after they turned on James McClean the Irishman who stood on his principles about the poppies.Like Sky/BBC and the rest MAKING people wear them People should have a choiceExclude all UK's wars except 1st and 2nd and a lot of Catholics would wear them North and South of the Irish borderI laugh at the Germans/Italians/Turks etc wearing them
Phil Brown at Southend. Good British manager currently managing with little budget.
@221: The Nevilles tried their hand at management and were found to be useless. That's why they'll stay in the nice cosy TV studios whilst telling the whole world and his wife how managers should manage.
Everyone could forsee this mess. No sympathy for a club that sacked and fans that thought they were better than the likes of O'Neill and Bruce.
After watching most of SAFC's home and away games this season there is a thin divide between the top and bottom teams in the Championship. SAFC are not great but could have won several more games. We lack a centre forward with pace (Maja injury a blow - recruitment of loanees could be better) and have a rotten core of mediocrity that we need leave - Catt's and Rodwell. Good luck SG
Ryan Giggs should be applying for the job, and work his way up to Premier league.
after years of fighting relegation, and then finally falling through the trapdoor, the confidence of the players is shot. i dont blame grayson, he has proven himself a solid manager at huddersfield , leeds and preston. i cant even blame the chairman who over the years has spent a fortune, the culprit is the person scouting poor players .. steven houston
@247 wolf359Great idea and it has my vote but how do you propose to marshal it??
