The festive season is an opportunity for footballers to take time out of a busy fixtures schedule to give back to some of their biggest fans by visiting hospitals and spreading some Christmas joy.

Fresh off the back of the weekend's game against Manchester City, Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli visited Great Ormond Street Hospital to light up this little girl's day.

A number of Manchester United players also spent Monday visiting the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

It looks like the children's smiles were worth the visit for Premier League stars including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Marcos Rojo.

The children even received gifts, including signed merchandise, from their sporting heroes.

And they'll never be too far away from their idols: Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard also presented the staff with PS4 consoles to entertain the in-patients.
