Women's Super League Two side Watford Ladies have appointed Armand Kavaja as head coach until the end of the season.

He previously worked with the club in 2016 and is an academy coach with the Watford men's side.

Kavaja replaces Keith Boanas, who stepped down on Sunday following the club's decision not to apply for a licence for next season's WSL 1.

He will be assisted by Clinton Lancaster, with Ilirjan Memaj and Pablo Mandiola also joining as coaches.

Meanwhile, Alberto Kurti and Tony O'Neill, who worked with Boanas, have also left Watford - who are bottom of WSL 2 with one point from five games.

You can now add WSL 1 notifications for line-ups, goals, kick-off, half-time and results in the BBC Sport app. Visit this page to find out how to sign-up.
