I like Bilic seems like a decent guy with a football brain - that said at the end of his time at West Ham looked like he needed a few years off not a few months.
A crap manager for a crap club
Hoping Swansea lose again, love to see all the rotund fans slithering around swansea binge drinking themselves to oblivion.
Swansea are for the trap door,it's creaking open as we speak.I think I am right in saying that only two clubs have avoided the drop after being bottom at Christmas.West Brom were one,the other eludes me.
@267 gerbil.Managers fail on the say so of the clubs directors, who expect instant success. Most of the time though I will agree it is the players that are under performing that result in a managers sacking.Under performing players should be held more accountable.
Crystal Palace this afternoon are the teams Swansea should be beating at home comfortably if they are to avoid the drop. Failure to do so today and away at Watford a week today will mean only one thing...relegation.
@266 wolf. How many managers have 'failed at a different club' ?. Few. Did Paul Clement 'fail'. No the owners did. Did Frank De Boer 'fail' ?. No. He was turning Palace around when the owners knifed him. Did Bilic 'fail' ?. No. The players failed him. Did Que Que Flores fail ? Never. Football is like the corporate world and Government. Failure is rewarded and success is punished.
Why do clubs that have just sacked their manager always go for a manager that has been sacked recently by another club? It is sheer madness and does neither the clubs reputation any good if the club goes for a manager who had already failed at a different club.
Let's be realistic, it's a combination of a good manager and some quality signings that the Swans need.... One without the other is always a recipe for a relegation battle.....
Same list of mangers going round around.
Have Swansea shot an albatross or something?
So you sack a manager because your club is struggling at the bottom of the league & look for someone better. How can bringing a guy who has already been sacked this season for the same reason at another club be a good move?Bilic had a great 1st season, poor 2nd & terrible 1st half of this one.De Boer played 5, lost 5, goals o.. prob unfair to be sacked so quickly but maybe he can't adapt to PL
Lucky still to have Britton, Toshack, etc , also Curt In the background perhaps they can mange the players back to the old way of play - hopefully the Board and Jenkins will take note of the reasons for discontent of fans and address this issue with them and take note of those around them who still care so the team remains hope fully up, and returns to how they used to be
