I play the lottery 4 times a week 52 weeks a year and I hardly ever win ( a bit like WBA WMU etc. ) now that's a disaster. If I could be a premier league player for a month or so I doubt if I'd ever play the lottery again.
And Iremember when teams playing in European competitions on Thursdays had to play in the league on Saturdays. All before Sky came along and made us pay for what used to be free.
It was not so long ago that it was customary for teams to play twice in 3 days over Christmas and Easter. That was when teams were only allowed one substitute per game. I think Guardiola should stop moaning every time things don't go 100% his way. He moaned about the ball when Man City could not score against Wolves, instead of maybe acknowledging that Wolves were as good as them on the day.
Pep is a great leader until things are tough. Like jose they are like the real housewives of cheshire. Can spend other peoples money. Pep you have a club that when a player is injured you can pop a lazy hundred mill on the table and buy whatever you want. Get over yourself and if you dont like it i am sure psg with trillions will take you on.
Only good thing about xmas is the amount of football available. Has it really got more congested? Some valid comments re: happy enough to accept tv money and hours put in by real workers whose subscrptions help underwrite tv money. Whinger, moany Jose and now Pep, perhaps too many continentals struggling to acclimatise?
Pep is absolutely right. Professional athletes do all sorts to get to the pinnacle of the sport, so is completely contrary to that to give 100% repeatedly over the Christmas period. It's not Sunday League or some sort of comedy event, it's supposed to be the Premier League. The organisers need to be more professional in how they plan the fixture list, it's sub optimal otherwise.
While I think it is unfair that some teams have a longer rest period than others, I find it amazing about the schedule complaints. The clubs and players are more than happy to take TV money off the general public, players wages are ridiculous and for that wage they feel they should only play once a week! Last time I checked, most of us have to perform for 5 days a week for considerably less money!
600 matt..You are fraying off topic my dear, looks like someone has been eating sherbert havent they, Dearie.
586, how can you talk about my team, you know eff all about the team you follow, watching reruns of harry Enfield hoping the three scouser should are on so you can 'perfect' the accent, shouldn't it be "you are pathetic" or is Star Wars another of your passions, do you watch mr bean?
@588 TTCFG is an investment arm, but that doesn't mean it's corrupt. many companies have multiple investment arms If you have secret information that CFG are breaching U.K. trading laws inform the dept of trade and the FA. I'm guessing you haven't & it's just made up & wishful thinking.Utd fans criticise the Glazers? only when they have a bad run, but it's gone quiet since big spending
Footballers...the feather dusters of the sports world.
@595Well spotted mi ol scouse mucca. They do do that don't they doe.I do wish your lot would put together a decent run, as I would love it, love it if utd finished outside the top four for the second year running.
90 mins work maybe twice a week, joke, for £130k a week, disgraceful.Taking the p out of ordinary people.EPL is a cesspitHGV nightshift driver 25-30 k a year !!!!! proper work Thought Mr guardiola was a down to earth bloke, but appears to be dumb as the rest and on another planet !!!!
@587 paulb...You obviously know as much about spelling as you do about football...KARMA..........Write it 200 times. Hand it in with the rest of your homework after detention!.
Useless one team league is useless. £2 billion a year for this rubbish. lol.
The reason it is so congested at this time of the year is because we have THREE interminable International breaks in September, October and November when three weekends were lost. Players came back tired and injured and the PL loses its fluency. International football is of little or no interest to most English football fans. I for one have sympathy with Guardiola.
Pep...it is not a disaster. Footballers are not fit. When the highest paid player in EPL history is an overweight smoker who wears his england kit down the pub, it sums up EPL fitness levels.
Doesn't matter. You have a MASSIVE squad to choose from...unlike most other teams. I like Pep a lot but mate, come on like. Of course its a shame when people get injured but a responsible manager should rotate, one with your bench should DEFINITEly do so. Honestly. LOOK HOW MUCH YOU HAVE.
