Macclesfield Town 2-1 Guiseley

National League leaders Macclesfield came from behind to win against bottom club Guiseley.

Visiting keeper Luke Coddington made early saves from Tyrone Marsh and Nathan Blissett before Rowan Liburd blasted struggling Guiseley into a surprise early lead from a narrow angle.

Elliott Durrell twice went close and Mitch Hancox shot over just before half-time.

Blissett was denied by the offside flag and then Coddington early in the second half but his first Macclesfield goal arrived on the hour with an athletic finish after Danny Whitaker's corner was flicked on.

Coddington had been Guiseley's stand-out performer but was beaten by Marsh's 72nd-minute header as Macclesfield took the lead, and Liburd wasted a glorious chance to equalise after Shwan Jalal parried James Roberts' drive.
