Isn't it funny how McRae and Petrie even look dodgy as hell? Like some fat non-charming version of Rodders Independent Traders.
Agree with Tom. I reckon the entire board should go. Wipe slate clean and start again.
The SFA must stop smarting from the mistake they made with Vogts and search for a man who can conjure an excellent team spirit and some performances from what is a limited pool of players. O'Neill was the right sort of candidate, he won't take the job but he is not the only manager of that sort in the whole world. Men such as Vahid Halilhodžić and Carlos Queiroz should be on the list. Aim higher!
I can remember believing Ally MacLeod in 1978 that we would win the World cup and his goal was to retain it, that is the sort of manager we want now someone who lifts the players and the fans to believe we are world beaters therefore he would have to be Scottish and someone we could look up to if only Sir Alex was 10 years younger.
Short answer no. Long answer noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
This is just fake news and filling up space. He hasn't been approached or vice versa. Besides that, I very much doubt Walter Smith at 69 years old would be willing to push aside a very well earned retirement for ANY job now! McKinnon for CEO and Gemmill or experienced foreign manager for the job!
Send for Jock
it's all over folks. WS has said no . 3 remains as those who want the job - Caldwell, Hughes, AlexMcL
Walter Smith with backroom of Barry Ferguson, Stuart McCall and big Butcher. Formidable would be the word.
"Send for Walter"Entirely the ther wrong cry as in my view this is a step backwards. Walter was a Manager/coach who at the time of his appointment, I supported, Is it not time to look at one of the the young and upcoming Managers. As to the question of an overhaul of the SFA, I totally agree that this needs to happen. Petrie & Co Need to go
119. Posted by Pet: 'Time too overall the SFA ...' . You mean 'to overhaul', sir?
