Notts County slipped a place in their promotion chase after being held to a draw by Newport County.
The Exiles started brightly but failed to take advantage and could have gone behind when Jorge Grant went close.
Joss Labadie had the ball in the net for Newport but it was ruled out for a foul on Adam Collin before Grant missed another good chance.
Notts County slip to fifth place while Newport remain 12th having failed to win in their last five league outings.
Newport manager Mike Flynn: "It was a great reaction. I knew I'd get one and it was a game I felt we edge even if it was not a very good spectacle.
"It was a tough battling performance and something we didn't do on Tuesday night so I'm delighted with the players."
