Sky (Don Goodman) thought what I thought at the game. He fell, so in that position surely he must have been fouled.Watch it in HD slo mo. If Friend does clip his right heel (not clear) it is three/four strides before he goes down. The real give away is that Costa drags his left foot along the turf then falls.Attwell was spot on. Great refereeing.
Cant believe anyone thinks Costa wasnt fouled, Sky were clear he was. Having said that no excuse for losing their heads for the wolves players. As for the tackle (if thats the word for it) in the first half - how was that not red. Very poor ref.
At the game last night I thought Friend brought Costa down.Watched it on slow mo and Atwell's decision was a good one. There is clear daylight between their feet.Wolves best team at Riverside this season but discipline might cost them. No matter what Neves felt, his reaction was stupid and might have cost Wovles two points.Doherty maybe harsh but again it was an unnecessary challenge.
Just hope Boring Boro stay down then play Boring Stoke.
A match between a good championship side and a fantastic one ruined by an awful referee. 12 v 9 at times and we still found a way to win. Felt so angry last night but feeling pride now.
@ 27 Henry Diablo: "Teams seem to have realised that the best way to stop Traore is to take it in turn to hack him down."Teams seem to have realised that the best way to stop Costa, Cavaleiro, Neves, Jota, Afobe, Saiss, Bonatini et al. is to take it in turn to hack them down.
We need cool heads out there now - especially at Cardiff if they try to kick us up in the air as they did at Molineux. Two more wins and I reckon it's all over as far as promotion is concerned, three and it's mathematically certain.
@101. The club are restricted to how much they can spend by FFP. It doesn't matter how rich the owner is, it's about how the money you are allowed to spend is actually spent and how the brand itself is grown to attract further investment. If that wasn't the case, we and Man City etc would simply pay £500m on the best players in the world so No one could compete with us.
I'm a neutral fan but watched the game yesterday. Really poor refereeing decision for when Costa was through - and equally, what were the linesman and 4th official doing? The ref was inconsistent in his bookings from the start. What concerns me is the amount of times that referees make potentially game-changing (and at times, potentially season-changing) decisions with little consequence.
rj,Ruben Neves is not a loanee, Wolves paid £15m for him. The other loanees Boly and Jota etc were taken on loan to keep within FFP, Wolves have an exclusive option to buy them. All clubs have links with agents, that's how it works and Mendes having Ronaldo & De Gea on his books is irrelevant. Villa have spent far more than Wolves it's just that Nuno & Wolves have INDEED got the basics right
@ The black pele. You seriously need to get out of boro or brush up on your geography. Wolverhampton isn't in brum! Also yes we did commit fouls but so did you leadbitter straight red, friend two footed challenge them trips out bloke from a onebon one with keeper is a straight red. All you did was hoof it first half and long throws. You only played better football 2nd half as you had 2 extra playe
JasM..the basics right?! Fosun group are the second richest owners behind Man City and Wolves have some champions league quality players in this season on loan and an agent whose clients are the likes of Ronaldo and David de Gea. Happy days but don’t start comparing to other clubs in that league even the likes of Villa etc. Blimey.
