Northern Ireland Women 0-3 Norway Women
Northern Ireland went down to a fourth defeat in five Women's World Cup qualifiers after losing out to Norway at Shamrock Park in Portadown.
Norway bossed possession but failed to penetrate the home defence as Julie Nelson went close for the hosts.
The deserved breakthrough came on the hour when the outstanding Caroline Graham Hansen slotted in.
Superb late strikes from Caroline Graham Hansen and Isabell Herlovsen sealed the Group C victory for Norway.
Northern Ireland were aiming to bounce back from Friday's 7-0 hammering by group leaders Netherlands and they made a solid start.
Norway gradually seized control but a resolute defensive display kept out the visitors with keeper Lauren Perry making a fine save to deny the dangerous Graham Hansen.
The hosts rarely threatened but they squandered a good chance on 31 minutes when Nelson pushed her shot wide from a corner.
Herlovsen netted 10 minutes after the restart but it was ruled out for offside although the opener finally arrived five minutes later.
Guro Reiten's through-ball put Graham Hansen clear and the forward slipped the ball beyond the advancing Perry and into the net.
Hensen completed her double with an outstanding finish on 85 minutes, swivelling on the edge of the area to send a dipping volley in off the crossbar.
Herlovsen also showed a touch of class for the third in added time with a neat cut inside before curling the ball off the bar and into the net.
Norway, who beat Alfie Wylie's 4-1 in their first group meeting, lie third in the standings and six points clear of fourth-placed Northern Ireland.
