The boys will be bringing the cup back to our shores come July 15th
England only have to win all their matches and they win the World Cup.What can go wrong?
In other words that's 25/1, not 16/1 which is what the bookies make out. I would have thought the 'real odds' of England winning it are over 100/1.
@Kev1888: "This is what happens when the premier league is filled with foreign players , Young players from England don't get a chance to get top experience when there is 100''s of millions of pounds being spent each season on quality players from other countries ." I completely understand your point, but as a counter-argument, if the PL wasn't full of foreign players, would it still be top?
Looks like complete BS to me. England and Belgium are in the same group and so if this is based on ranking alone, over a million simulations, surely Belgium should have a higher chance of progressing than England. Belgium are ranked 3rd, England 12th.And Poland - Columbia group. Columbia are ranked lower, but have a higher chance of progressing. Why?There must be something else going into it.
7 dislikes for saying England had a chance....what a bunch of twonks.
Like I said, bile and negativity.

So there's a chance ha ha - not on your nelly !
All we are gonna hear for the next few weeks is how England are going to win the World Cup and 1966 being constantly mentioned. It’s funny to watch when they get beat. All the blame and the tears. It’s so predictable. (Yawn)
Bookies odds 5/1 Germany, 16/1 EnglandThese stats 10/1 & 25/1Krrrching for the bookies?
Seems a certain South American bias in the stats with Columbia and Peru featuring high in the probability stats. This is surprising seeing as a South American side has never won in Europe.
Ah the beeb and their stats. This is the same company that said Spurs didn't have much chance of qualifying from their Champs League group. There's a 100% chance that these graphs will be churned out again.
4%? That's generous! I would say that Italy or Holland have a slightly better chance of winning this year's world cup than England.
Some of you guys need to understand the difference between a prediction and probability!!
When was the last time an article attracted so many dumb comments? These are NOT predictions, these are probabilities. If I toss a coin it has a 50% chance of being tails, and 50% heads. Those are probabilities, and only one can occur if I toss the coin once. I am not "predicting" it will be half heads and half tails. This company is not predicting Brazil will win 21% of the WC, England 4% etc.
