Ebbsfleet United 0-1 Gateshead

Chris Bush's first-half own goal gave Gateshead victory at Ebbsfleet United in the National League.

In the 13th minute goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore saved from Tom White but the ball cannoned off defender Bush and into the net.

Darren McQueen came close to a spectacular equaliser with an overhead kick which was just too high.

Fleet improved in the second half and McQueen was denied by a save from Aynsley Pears before Lawrie Wilson flashed a close-range effort wide.

But Gateshead held on to claim the three points and climb to eighth after 10 games.
