Connahs Quay Nomads 0-1 Caernarfon Town: Jamie Breese's goal on the stroke of half time ensured Caernarfon Town were the only Welsh Premier League away side to pick up any away points in match round five. Breese broke the deadlock at Deeside with a shot from just inside the area.

The New Saints 6-0 Aberystwyth Town: The New Saints moved three points clear at the top of the WPL by thumping Aberystwyth. Aeron Edwards scored a hat-trick with Simon Spender, Jamie Mullan and Adrian Cieslewicz also finding the target. Edwards also missed a first half penalty.

Bala Town 3-1 Llanelli: Bala moved up to third in the table following victory over nine man Llanelli, who drop into the relegation zone. Steve Tames opened the scoring for Bala on 20 minutes and Nathan Burke doubled their lead two minutes later.

Llanelli had Scott Tancock sent-off before Chris Jones replied for Llanelli with a penalty on the hour mar. But Tames restord Bala's two goal advantage with his fifth goal of the season and Kurtis March became the second Reds player to see the red card.

Carmarthen Town 3-0 Newtown: Luke Bowen's two goals set Carmarthen on their way to a second league win of the season. Bowen's header gave the home side a half time lead before he side footed a cross from Jordan Vickers, who ran the length of the pitch. Liam Thomas wrapped up the win for Neil Smothers' side with a header 14 minutes from time.

Llandudno 2-0 Barry Town: Llandudno secured their first league of the season to move out of the bottom two. Two goals in two first half minutes proved enough for Iwan Williams' side with Leo Smith, on loan from Wrexham, opening the scoring before John Owen extended their lead.

Sunday, 9 September

Cardiff Met 1-0 Cefn Druids: Dean Rittenberg's own goal, deflected from Kyle McCarthy's late strike, gave the Archers victory over Druids, reversing their fortunes of the previous round when Cardiff Met lost at Carmarthen but Druids secured their first win of the season with victory over Llandudno.
