It goes to show how different players develop under different managers. Lets hope Ross Barkley will carry on improving as England desperately need this type of midfielder Chelsea looking good under Sarri, they could challenge this year but the main problem is the Europa League which definitely has an impact over the season.

LMAO, Ossiesdream you crack me up. Very appropriate handle, cos you really are dreaming! When have Chelsea EVER been in Spurts shadow?
Chelsea will always be in spurs shadow.
Cake Boss Ross should have a cream cake-off with Peter Beardsley to see who can fit the most in to their gob without chewing.
@39.Obviously a muppet. Messi is the best player in the world at every moment!
I wonder if he can fit a whole Big Mac in there in one go.
Happy for Chelsea. Hazard the best player in the world at the moment. I'm a United supporter, but feel quite strongly that the top two teams in the PL this season will be from down south.
Hughes way out of his depth. Should never have been appointed. Board repeatedly make bad decisions. Hardly a decent signing since Koeman. £40m+ worth of players on loan/ excluded. Ridiculous signings Vestergard awful, £13.5m on a reserve keeper, Elly not even on the bench. No idea of how to play, how to attack and how to use the players available. A better manager would get better with the same.
Can't he breathe through his nostrils? Maybe then hehe could close his mouth or at least pull it to.
The club management need to admit they have players that are no longer premiership quality. Long, Redmond and Austin need to be sold and quality young players brought in. Southampton have made profits in the last years but business philosophy needs to be balanced with value for money for the fans and some success. Flirting with failure will not be profitable or entertaining.
Southampton FC as a club are (and have been for the last 2 years) in freefall in terms of behind the scenes management. There needs to be drastic changes from the very bottom to the very top. It's pretty obvious it's the directors and players who seem to be the only ones not seeing it. Gutless manager, some gutless players who couldn't score 5 yards out. Been priced out by greed so don't go anymore
We all know the chavs will go into meltdown come the end of the season.
Chelsea and Arsenal are playing the best football of the top six.Liverpool look like their starting to burn out a bit with their running game while Man City are starting to look more predictable and are easier to read.spurs and man u lack quality and both look a bit dull so can see those two finishing in the Europa places..
@29 I agree as an England fan that Barkley is not the player we hoped he would be at 25 given his promise at 18/19. But, if he can stay injury free then maybe he can still become a really good player being in this Sarri team. Sterling had a great last season but given his WC performances and this season so far I would say he is still someway off international class.
We haven't beaten a top six club for twenty nine months. Puel, Pellegrino now Hughes. Slow learners. Then bring Long on, and STILL think he can score. So called pro's missing the must score sitters. Here's an idea for Ralph Krueger and Reed, next match try ice hockey skates, because the haven't managed to master football boots yet. Step down board, you ain't up to it. You're on the nose.
