Wycombe Wanderers 1-2 AFC Wimbledon

AFC Wimbledon's first away win since September was not enough to move them off the bottom of League One despite a hard-fought victory over Wycombe.

Kwesi Appiah scored just before the half-hour mark, with substitute Jake Jervis adding a second for the visitors in the last minute.

Fred Onyedinma bundled home an injury-time goal for Wycombe, but Wimbledon held on.

A sluggish opening was brought to life when Anthony Hartigan's corner was flicked on at the near post where Appiah made no mistake from six yards for his third goal of the season.

The home side thought they should have had a penalty just before half-time after Onyedinma was clipped, but the referee waved away the protests.

Scott Kashket and Bryn Morris were brought on as the home side searched for an equaliser, but Wimbledon grabbed a second when Jervis converted from Tyler Garratt's cross - his first goal in 364 days.

Onyedinma's stoppage-time goal proved to be a consolation as Wycombe's unbeaten home run dating back to September came to an end.
