Salford City 1-2 Dagenham & Redbridge

Salford lost ground on National League leaders Leyton Orient as they were beaten at home by Dagenham.

The hosts began the day in second, just a point adrift of Orient, but Dagenham fought back from a goal down to extend their unbeaten league run to six matches - winning five of those.

Salford took the lead after 13 minutes. Dennis Politic swung a corner into the area and Carl Piergianni rose highest to nod into the far corner.

But Dagenham fought back and equalised in the 39th minute through Conor Wilkinson's fifth goal in his last six appearances. Harry Phipps' cross was perfect for Wilkinson to nod past Chris Neal.

The visitors completed the turnaround when Angelo Balanta's header from Jack Munns' corner put them ahead after 66 minutes.

Elliot Justham produced a fine double save in added time to secure all three points for Dagenham.
