We'd welcome him down at our club the size & stature of Villa at the moment. Agree that Florest, weeds, Narwitch, Smoglebruff, sheff, Boggies etal all smalltime tinpot clubs. In our shadow. We have money & ambition. We will be back at the top of the PL 2019/20 despite our current management debacle.LookUTV UTV
Have to say to Dyche he is playing the media machine well. Really poor form at start of season. A good run of form recently. But what happens when they have harder run towards the season. Is there a plan B? We will see.
People say dyche has done a good job but no disrespect to Burnley but that's his level. If he went to a bigger club who had big ambitions with more pressure and big cheque book and a club demanded decent football he'd be clueless. Same with allerdyce, and pulis ,,. Mind you dyche would be alright for small championship clubs like forest,,,villa,,,,and sheff wed
Dycho's done a good job with these lot. A class above what we keep going for as bossman at Villa. To keep small clubs like Burnley in the PL is no mean feat.Soton always chop n change and every other PL small frys feeder club (like Brentford in the chumpionsh - yes our league temporarily) Redmond exB6 knuckdrag? LOLNuno E Sanchez will also be off to a proper club very soon. LuckUTV
SD moaners do him a great disservice. In his first real managerial job, he's taken a small but proud club to heady heights not once but three times in a short period. Some mistakes, of course, but an impressive record unlike those who only come if squad is worth £500m or have trillions to spend, or are serial failures. I'd sure moan like hell if my hard work was spoiled by poor officiating!
@86 20LEgend and other anti-Dyche commentsPerhaps the reason others don't seem to moan is because they're either found out encouraging cheating or officials bottle decisions for fear of upsetting the big money clubs. Who knows? I think SD is always generous in giving opposing clubs and players credit when due, win or lose. The other point is he has to answer the questions posed. Not his fault.
Players still getting away with or being rewarded for blatant dives & carded for diving when they’ve been fouled. I’m sure the ref gave the pen at the end because he realized he’d make a mistake in the earlier incident. I’m sure he'd never have given a 2nd pen at the end if he’d given a pen for the foul on Barnes. 2 pens for Burnley in one game? Not gonna happen. It’s the way refs' minds work.
Penalty decision aside, the foul mouthed Barnes who got to within a few inches of the assistant referees face should have been sent off. First time I have seen MOTD blanking out what was coming out of a players mouth. He should be made to sit and watch how Rugby Union players react to referee decisions.
continued from 128. Also not forgetting Barnes would not have been on the pitch to score the penalty (if given) as he would have been off for a second yellow offence for decent. The game is screwed up enough to delude the young and impressionable with all the diving that goes on without idiots spitting towards and disrespecting the match officials. So called men need to grow up I think!! #YNWA
For the Burnley fans and manager bemoaning the lack of VAR you should be grateful it wasn't in use yesterday as there wouldn't have been a penalty for either incident. Defo dive from Barnes (going down before contact with keeper) and a blatant foul by Crouch on defender (climbing and shirt pulling)! Google the photos and see for yourselves ..........
The problem with post-match interviews is that they only ask about the contentious decisions made by the referees, and not the fact that the strikers missed easy chances, defenders didn't clear the ball etc. Was Dyche asked about the chances Barnes had, and should have scored from? Too easy to just concentrate on the ref - lazy journalism
Well done Claret diehards......showing good form and hopefully on your way to safety.......always good to see those Malaysians below you...keep up the good work
The BBC maybe should think about just copying and pasting any of Dyches interviews from this year and not bother interviewing him anymore.Seriously he needs to snap out of it and stop whining and get his team positive - its embarrassing
It isn't often mentioned, but any Burnley player actually seen to have taken a dive is usually given a real diving lesson by the rest of the squad in the river at the side of the training ground.Barnes wouldn't want to upset his mates, knowing that river is very cold at the moment.
If only Referee Assistants would actually assist. However, there are a number of Refs who think they can handle everything and who only want their Assistant to rule on offsides. How many times do you see the AR put his flag up for a throw in only after the Ref has signalled which team gets it?
