Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has agreed personal terms with Shandong Luneng with a view to moving to the Chinese club.
United are refusing to say whether a fee has been agreed for the Belgium player, who signed a new deal in 2018.
Fellaini, 31, was the first major signing of the post Sir Alex Ferguson era, joining for £27.5m on deadline day in the 2013 summer transfer window.
The Chinese transfer window closes on 28 February.
Fellaini signed a fresh two-year contract at Old Trafford last June but has has never won over the United fans despite regularly being selected by David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho.

From a neutral perspective, he's done what he's been asked of at Utd. However he's not right for Utd and if they're going to get back to their former glory, replacing players like Fellaini with "Utd-style" players is a priority.
If more players had a professional attitude like his, where you give your best despite what's being said by the media and so called football fans, football would be in a far better place.
Good luck to Fellaini, came up with a lot of important goals that secured trophies. I don't think many thought he suited Man Utd. But he definitely won over a lot of fans with his impact from the bench. This article saying otherwise is nonsense...
Good riddance.
Not his fault he doesn't fit Manchester United.
He fits plenty of other teams, and will be revered more elsewhere.
Thanks but no thanks, good timing to leave. Good luck!
