What happened to Arsenal wanting him?
So much hating on Brighton, why? They have an owner that loves them, a quality ground (and training facilities), and some very passionate fans (in the North Stand). So they got rid of CH, they are not the 1st and will not be the last to make such decisions. The man at the top wanted change (he listens to the fans - many fans would kill for this) and changed it. Good luckBOING BOING!
Well.... BHAFC enter the unknown once again with the manager and an unknown player. It’s worked for us In the past and we keep the faith. Let the haters vent their spleen, supporters always have the hope (it’s the hope that kills) and those who are bitchin like little girls we can review again in May.
Good player and a snip at 18m in today's crazy climate !!
Seems Potter is signing the same players he would have if he was still at swansea.Problem is he’s not at an average championship side anymore.
@21 Paul - just a reminder about "player(s) who played in Belgium: Hazard, De Bruyne, Kompany, Lukaku, etc, etc...long list anyhow...but I understand you - clubs should not buy players that play in such a small country and not known for any connection with high quality football
Welcome Leandro to a wounderful club in the best location in the Country while we build for the future our cousins up the road are in a selling frenzie
Is this the first Belgian footballer to play in the EPL?
Duelofue. Please explain why Chris Hughton was wrongly sacked, as BHA supporter I sat through the awful football that was being played and as much as I like CH he had taken Brighton as far as he could. Three wins out of the last 23 games and the fact that we were lucky there were 3 teams worse than us he had to go, managers have been sacked for a lot less.
If this guy has cost more than £1m they’ve been done. You can find just as good at somewhere like Cheltenham town. If they’ve really paid nearly £20m then I’m peeing myself. No wonder it’s undisclosed.
Slow thread so just reminding everyone who usually plays to be at the Centenary Park (Big Park) Peacehaven for 7pm for Over35 s 5-a-side football. Bit windy though dry. Cheers
Me and my mates at the Peacehaven local 5 -a side hope he's good. As we all support Brighton or they are our 2nd team we hope for a better season as unlikely to be 3 teams as bad as those relegated last season. We need to play with more belief and not just rely on defending (which wasn't so good last season) and attack teams especially at home.
Is he ready for a fight for survival? I still hope potter gets sacked/relegated after his departure.
Hopefully they can do a grand unveiling/introduction at the stadium!!!!!! Let him see the thousands of fans and the noise and atmosphere the Albion can bring!!!!!Welcome Trossard, what an incredible club you've joined - enjoy!!!!!
A very attractive player 😉
Surely anyone who helps Brighton stay up is a good signing, looking forward to seeing him in action and what he can do.
With Knockaert, Izquierdo, Jahanbakhsh and March, as well as Locadia and Gross playing out wide previously, i'm expecting a few sales to accomodate him. For me, Izquierdo and Jahanbakhsh havent cut it and should go.
Good piece of business; knows where the goal is and has been included in Belguim squads a few times. With the new style and tactics of Graham Potter, players true potential will hopefully show through and be utilisied. UTA!
19. Disagrred. Murray may be old but he's a fantastic striker and his goals kept us up. We need a striker, but to assist, not replace, Murray. If he didn't prove his worth last season, you're frankly too obtuse to be a fan and he never can if he didn't this season. On another note, £18m for a guy who plays in Belgium? Disgrace, however good he is. Happy with Clarke though he's what we need
