422. Posted by PaulThanks Paul, but us finishing top 10 wouldn't be an improvement under Rodgers we were top 10 before he came along.
Something to consider the next time you tread over a homeless ex-services vet' on your way to watch your centre-forward miss a penalty; while £30m buys you your bang average Premier League striker, it is also a significant amount of the UK's Social Care budget.
@423 I hope you’re right but wonder if it’s just another Cashley scam to get fans to renew season tickets.
I have no problem Perez leaving and Rondon. Things will get better, once Sheik bin Sid takes over, with his 900 billion of wealth.Mbappe, and Neymar will end up playing for Newcastle. You will see!
I think along with others that under Brendan, that Leicester will be a force. Not saying top table but top ten. As for NUFC. Good luck after parting ways with Rafa. Just one of the world's elite managers and somehow kept them afloat. Good luck Leicester. As for NUFC, you need a miracle, yet again.
NUFC are a bit like E Bay this week - pick up a bargain and offload your old unwanted worthless stuff.
Newcastle had a £30m release clause in Perez' contract and must have felt safe that no other club would ever trigger it.But transfer fees have spiralled in the last couple of seasons and now £30m doesn't look too expensive for a proven PL striker still in his mid 20's.Good luck to Perez, he has developed into a fine player and no one can blame him for leaving crisis club Newcastle.
I find it amusing how much some folk on here despise NUFC and it’s fans and how ill informed they are.Anyone with a modicum of intelligence will see its owner has diminished the club over his 12 year reign syphoning off funds and investing very little into the playing staff or the stadium ( except for the many SD signs).I don’t consider myself delusional nor think NU have a divine right to glory
Can I just state I am not a Sunderland supporter. I’m just pig sick of utterly delusional Newcastle fans that think Rafa was amazing (he is not - he just wanted endless cash for himself and players too)Not a big club - just well supported.Fans never happy - ever.Perez was abused by toon fans week in and week out before scoring important goals that kept you up. Can’t blame him being ambitious
Dear Mr Onion Bhaji can I suggest you do yourself a favour and put down your tablet and get out more , you will find you will feel a lot better about yourself and also this will avoid the risk of us all falling into a deep Korma while reading your tedious comments.
@410 & 401 Lightbulb and Budgee must be Mackems with an axe to grind.Haven’t you heard of the saying - Those that live in Glass Houses ?Obviously not !
413.Silly figures get brandished about in reporting.Having supported this club for the last 58 years, local connections have the buy out clause at around 15 million. Our owners are astute and far more successful than Mike Ashley.
Surprised he’s moved to a smaller club. I think it’ll be a decision he’ll regret. He’s an average player at best.
Are Leicester mad ?Quite like Perez, but £30 mill ??Who in the Leicester hierarchy decided,"i know, lets offer £30 mill for him"How about "lets test the water with a £20 mill bid and take it from their"Was Mike CASHley going to turn his nose up at £20 mill ?

I think he'll do well, he's better than people think. And either way, if it helps get Newcastle relegated, it'll be a successful move.
