Lampard proved his worth in midweek by replacing Zouma with giroud at 0 0. A draw would have been a great result as a good fee players are way out of depth in champions league. A very very poor costly decision to chase the win. Naive doesnt come close to describing it. Bring on the rats.
Lampard is clearly out fo his depth, definately a contender along with Steve Bruce, Nuno, Dean Smith n OGS for the sack before xmas!
Yes, Foden needs to get off his backside and move on if he is to get game time and progress - ideally working under a British manager who will give him a chance e.g. Howe, Rogers or Lamps.
Seeing just one British player in a Premier League starting line-up is quite a surprise these days. Seeing more than one is an added bonus. Let's hope Chelsea can kick-start a new age of young British players. It certainly won't happen at Man City where the brilliant Foden can barely get on the bench.
the boring one - The clue is in the name ! I would suggest that your team of choice is Top of the League of the no one like you charts. Yes we are unpopular, but the success brings this so we live with it. We all have our cross to bare, we have a nasty element like most clubs. Liverpool have the History, a Great Team, a Great Manager and then unfortunately you lot, shame really.
Would be amazing if Chelsea got relegated, went bust and went out of business, despicable club/manager/fans. As for Lampard he couldn't manage a sweet shop never mind the bunch of losers he's got at Chelsea, #no one likes you #YNWA
@282Wrong club? No trophies?!
Thanks to our friends at FIFA, this is one season when Chelsea CAN afford not to qualify for the CL. £192m in player sales this summer, and only £40m spent, so financially they are well up.From a player perspective, emerging young players unlikely to leave if they miss one year of CL. And it takes the pressure off everyone, as they have a ready-made excuse too.
One thing is for sure: if Derby had been nineteenth after eight games last season the media would be calling for Lampard's head.
me who knows you - Taxi driver, LOL. Keep an eye out, you may find out tomorrow. Always good fun over there but not for drinking.
This transfer ban is a blessing for Chelsea & Lampard. He'll be given 2 seasons to impress & this year is pretty much a free hit as long as he keeps them out of troubleGreat to see him using lesser known players in his stockpile, & those English boys will drive Chelsea on like Lampard & Terry did in their time. He's building an identity & setting them up for long term success. Good luck to him
At the moment, Frank Lampard is not under the same pressure as previous managers, and that is good for the club. All those panik buys and big-name flops have given way to a culture of talent development and integration. It's exciting for the fans and profitable for the club. Lampard's position at the club, combined with his natural leadership skills, make him the perfect man for the job.
It took Ferguson 4 years before a trophy and 7 years for the league / PL. then in 26 years total he managed 38 trophies!I not suggesting Abramovich/Lampard relationship will be that patient but surely there are some lessons. There will be no trophies this season but it looks very exciting and in season 2 or 3 could blossom.
