Coach Joe Dunne has left Bristol Rovers to be reunited with Graham Coughlan at Mansfield Town, becoming assistant manager at the League Two club.
Coughlan left Rovers to become Stags boss on Tuesday, and they have now secured Dunne's release to join him.
The 46-year-old Dubliner leaves the Gas fourth in League One, with Kevin Maher named as caretaker manager.
"Rejoining with Graham was a big influence in my decision," Dunne told the Mansfield website.
The Stags side the pair have joined are currently 18th in League Two, a different challenge to the promotion bid they had created at the Memorial Stadium.
"We demand an energy level and a commitment from the players, and we demand a lot of ourselves as staff," Dunne added. "Standards are very high and it's important that we try and maintain those standards.
"We have a lot of work to do and I'm looking forward to the challenge."
Well-travelled former Peterborough and Kidderminster striker Drewe Broughton has left his position as Mansfield high-performance coach.
