Causing 8 crashes in one season is unheard of, Grosjean should have to undergo some intense race start training during the off season. Jackie Stewart is probably not the right man to do this but either way, Grosjean improves his start or has to be dropped for a season
If he wanted to help Romain then why not approach Romain instead of blathering to the world's press yet again? Because he's a media whore who cant stay out the limelight. What about his amazing prediction that Hamilton would wipe the floor with Button. That pearl of wisdom didn't exactly come to fruition. Senna thought he was a twit as well. He's a motormouth dinosaur who needs constant attention.
I'm sure applying for the Pass+ will prove just as effective. Less expensive, too.
36.The Octopuswell its quite obvious who the dithering buffoon is here, & JYS it aint. Winning is not just about the skill in your chosen sport, it is also the mind set that goes with it. For example, find the British cycling teams coach's comments where they concentrated on the mind before going anywhere near a bike!Octopus, stay out of grown up debates please.
I have been fortunate enough to meet JYS socially and also had about 5 minutes coaching from him when he was with Ford. I learnt a lot in that 5 minutes and even though I was succesful in my amateur motorsport at the time I went on to win championships keeping in mind at all times those nuggets of information he imparted to me. No-one should be arrogant enough to think they couldn't learn.
Oh dear, what a silly comment by "The Octopus". JYS drove cars with very little gadgetry, admittedly. However he also drove them faster than any other human on the planet, at a time when man went to the moon, If you were at the BRM day on Sunday you would also have seen that he certainly doesn't dither. And as for "buffoon", we can all see who the buffoon is on this page. Octopus-show some respect.
Stewart is a media hungry egomaniac. He drove cars that have absolutely nothing in common with the today's cars when people used to have brandy and a woodbine during the pitstops. What possible assistance could he give a racing driver of today apart from saying the obvious which is take it easy into the first corner, the race will settle down after the first lap. The man is a dithering buffoon.
@34 Sounds like you should be watching Wacky Races instead.....
There should be more drivers like Grosjean because F1 is so boring. With more drivers like him and perhaps some women drivers in the races then F1 may be worth watching.
this would indeed be a good move for Grosjean before his overeagerness kills him or others, and that would indeed be a loss.Go for it grosjean if Jackie Stewart cant help i dont think many others can.
If Sir Jackie Stewart made his services available back in July & Romain Grosjean didn't take him up on it then the next time Romain Grosjean has a accident based on his lack of judgment he stood be Black flagged until he has some tuition. In Japan Romain Grosjean made no effort to avoid the crash with Webber
If Jackie wants to help him why doesn't he use is connections in the team to just say he wants to help Romain on the quiet instead of putting it out in the media??I agree completely, Seems like the call of the camera/microphone is too strong to resist!
